Been here a couple times and always rate the food here, it's hot, tasty and there's plenty of it.
We had a young waitress serve us who was in training and she was very friendly and attentive and wish her the best of luck, Sunday service is always in at the deep end for new staff and she coped very well.
Can't wait to enjoy another delicious meal here again soon!
If you want a friendly welcome and a clean pub don’t bother coming here. It used to be lovely but now it’s just awful. The manager Dorian is nothing but rude. The rest of the staff who are young and lack personality makes this place a bad end to a great walk around Virginia Water with the dog. There were tables not cleared and food all over the floor. Only one ladies toilet cubicle working and for such a large pub this meant you had to queue. We had a bowl of cheesy chips but were lacking in cheese. Asked one of the staff if we could sit in a certain area with a dog and you’d have thought I had asked if I could eat her right arm. Then I realised she barely spoke English.
Would definitely NOT recommend stepping foot inside this pub. I would recommend going 2 minutes down the road to the next one or better still go to the petrol station opposite.
Welcomed by a very nice front of house, taken to our table and provided with all the allergen details. We had the festive menu and the prawns to start were lovely but this was where it all went downhill.
Roast turkey for main was terrible, roast potatoes tasted days old, turkey seemed like it was out of a packet and the rest of the dish was like something from school. We politely spoke to the waiter who was very sarcastic with our feedback and didn’t believe our comments.
Great start, horrible ending will most likely stick to the drinks in there!
We came as a little birthday treat! Molly was our waitress, she was polite, helpful and gave a great service! Our food was lovely n nice hot chocolate to finish with! 😍
Perfect place for a weekend getaway. We stayed at the inn with my partner for 2 nights to visit the Windsor Great Park, walk around and relax. Simple spacious room with a comfy bed.
Location is unbeatable, 2-minute walk from the park. Breakfast was freshly made, with good quality ingredients and plenty of options to choose from in the menu, we were quite impressed. Dinner at the pub was also great, and staff very attentive.
Ate here a few years ago and it was great however it feels like it has gone downhill. The starters of prawns were great.
I ordered the beef cheeks which were mostly fat not meat and my wife the lasagne …
We visited for lunch and ate in the bar. I enjoyed my steak and ale pie, delicious and available quickly. The service was great, welcoming and friendly. Parking is free for customers though this could be made clearer in the actual car park to avoid needlessly paying. Great location and recommend a visit
Beautiful location in an old building with friendly staff. I had the soufflé and cod from the Christmas Menu which was lovely. The Christmas decorations were really nice as well, the tree and fireplace are especially pretty. We will definitely be coming back!
